Sara created her first animal care business in Salt Lake in 2011. She moved to New Mexico in 2018 where she started Rendija Dog Hikes, Inc, named for the beautiful canyon in her backyard. She and her Husky, Hades, are members of Pajarito K9 Search & Rescue and she is field certified through NM SARC. Sara serves on the board of Los Alamos Friends of Shelter & Companion Animals (www.lafos.org), an incredible non profit providing spay/neuter vouchers and cost assistance for vet bills. When she is able, Sara helps with transport for local rescues, which is how she adopted her 2nd Husky, Ricochet (she accidentally fell in love with Ricochet while en route to Jailbreak Husky Rescue in Colorado). She is also mom to 2 cats, Titus (15) and Amina (17). Sara earned her Masters of Fine Arts from American University in 2018.

Tina has been a member of the Rendija team for 2 1/2 years as a walker, sitter & On-Call Manager when needed. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching for nearly 30 years. She recently retired from teaching Preschool. Tina lived in Southern California for 50 years, but visited New Mexico often as a child and fell in love with the land of enchantment. After her divorce, she decided to move to NM to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and be closer to her father, sister and brothers. Tina has 4 children: Cody, 30; Charlyn, 29; Matthew, 27; and Chris, 25. The younger boys still live in Southern California; her daughter lives and works in Big Sur and Cody lives in La Joya, a small hippie community between Truchas and Penasco. As a child, Tina would rescue small animals and then release them back into their natural environments. She comes to us with a great love for animals and spends as much time volunteering at the stables as she can. Tina has 2 fur babes of her own: Nala, a shepherd mix and Moe, a black lab/ border collie mix; and one grand fur babe Leo.

Amelia is our Assistant Manager and also helps with dog walks, hikes, and pet sitting visits. She loves all animals and has been around them her entire life. Currently, she isn't able to have any pets of her own because she is busy wrangling 4 kiddos and a husband. That's why she loves her job and being able to spend time with animals. She worked for over three years at an emergency vet hospital in Albuquerque and gained lots of knowledge and experience during her time there. Currently, she has a piano studio in her home and has over 30 students. She is getting her Masters in Education. She loves spending time with her family, reading, binge watching shows, hiking and getting wet kisses from the animals she gets to be with.

Stephanie has been a member of our team since July 2021. Her love of animals began at an early age of one when her parents adopted their first cat, Cocoa, a Siamese mix. Growing up in rural Michigan, Stephanie spent many hours as a young adult enjoying the outdoors and running/walking with her Golden Lab, Tanner. She graduated from Michigan State in 2005 and moved to Los Alamos in 2006 to pursue work. Stephanie adopted and cared for a beautiful Maine Coon mix, Telly, for fourteen years while living in town. She loves all animals, especially cats. She loves nature, running, skiing, and hiking on the beautiful, local trails. She is currently a pet mom to two orange kitties (Cirrus & Bairn) and aspires to adopt a dog in the near future.

Rachel has been a member of the Rendija team as a dog walker and pet sitter for two years.

Amanda has been a member of our team since July 2021 and she cares for our pet sitting clients in White Rock.
